Josh Bernan has died at 49.

The bass player for the legendary Nine Inch Nails has been taken to hospital in Brisbane, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Breen, who had been battling Parkinson’s Disease, was taken to a Brisbane hospital after a car struck him at around 3am.

“We’re just extremely sad,” Nine Incline bassist Steve Haggerty said.

“He was a very good guy, a really good guy.”

I just couldn’t believe it, it’s hard to believe that it’s just happened so fast.

“A family friend, whose name was not released, said Breen had been suffering from dementia and had been in and out of hospital for some time.

He was known for his love of music and the Nine Inches music community.”
